VCI paper is a new antirust packaging material produced by coating volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) on anti-rust base paper.
It's used as packaging material for metal parts for anti-rust purpose typically during sea transportation.
It uses corrosion inhibition gas that volatile corrosion inhibitor contained in the paper automatically volatilizes in normal temperature, to adsorb on metal surface to form molecule protection cover, thus to achieve the goal of steel antirust. The product is safe and of environmental protection, and its properties reach the requirement of Japan JIS international advanced standard.

c) Product Description:
i. VCI paper used for multimetals
VCI paper used for multimetal is a new type packaging material of corrosion protection made from the neutral paper and multilayer resin lamination material through coat the volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) used for multimetals. VCI paper utilizes the corrosion inhibitor compositions vaporizing automatically at normal temperature from volatile corrosion inhibitor dipped in paper to be adsorbed an the metallic surface so as to from a molecular level protective layer, which protects the steel and iron against corrosion. VCI paper is widely used for the corrosion protection of combination metal parts in military industry, machinery, automobile fitting, electrician, electric industry and hardware. VCI paper is safe and environmentally friendly. The performance of VCI paper has reached the technical requirements of advanced international standards.
ii. VCI paper used for copper
VCI paper series used for copper is a new type packaging material with different strength and specifications made from the neutral kraft paper and multilayer resin lamination material through coating the volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI). VCI paper is widely used for industries, such as metallurgy, military industry, machinery, automobile and motor-bicycle fitting, etc.
iii. VCI paper used for iron and steel
VCI paper used for iron and steel is a new type packaging material of corrosion protection made from neutral kraft paper through coating the volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) used for iron and steel. VCI paper utilizes the corrosion inhibitor compositions vaporizing automatically at normal temperature from volatile corrosion inhibitor dipped in paper to be adsorbed on the metallic surface so as to from a molecular level protective layer, which protects the steel and iron against corrosion. VCI paper is safe and environmentally friendly. The performance of VCI paper has reached the requirements of advanced international standards. VCI paper is widely used for various industries, including military industry, machinery, automobile fitting, electrician, hardware, etc.
iv. VCI paper used for cold-rolled steel plate
The steel plate is susceptible to corrosion and mechanic damage due to environmental factor during storage and transportation, so the packaging of corrosion protection must be applied. Multifunctional VCI paper is the heavy-duty packaging material used for cold-rolled plate producing different physical strength and good barrier, made from neutral kraft paper coating special volatile corrosion inhibitors and laminating with one layer or multiple layers of plastic film or plastic woven cloth, to meet packaging protection need of cold-rolled plates with different coats.

f) Packaging and storage:
i. Product should be stored in a dry and cool place and sealed, avoiding original packages damaged.
ii. The storage period of the product is one year since date of production.
g) Operation method:
i. Use volatile corrosion inhibiting materials correctly according to regulations of GB/T 14188.
ii. Use single piece antirust packaging material of metal parts as middle layer cushion paper or internal repaired layer of packaging unit.
iii. Products coated with polyethylene have certain waterproof function, and can be used directly as external packaging materials.
iv. Guarantee cleanness and dryness of the metal material packaged.
v. Place the surface that contains corrosion inhibitor towards the mental package.
vi. Guarantee the relative sealing performance after packaging.
